    • Make sure it includes a well written (grammatically and netiquettely)...
      • "thank you" for the mentor taking you on as a project (2 points)
      • relevant information about yourself (additionally, state that you are attaching a resume; but don't actually attach yet) (2 points)
      • Your thoughts/ideas about your topic (2 points)
      • a question or two about your topic (2 points)
