Parent Support Group

The Parent Support Group of the Science and Math Academy at AHS was formed to provide a nucleus for parent support and involvement.  In our first year (2004-2005) we concentrated on three main goals:

1) to enhance communication to all academy parents
2) to coordinate volunteer efforts
3) to gather and provide feedback to academy staff for program improvement

We arranged several social events, planned teacher appreciation week, devised a student and parent survey to evaluate the first year, and many other important tasks.

You can receive notes from our meetings to help keep you up to date or you can attend the meetings.  We don't plan on having any officers, dues or fund-raising, so don't shy away from attending!  Make sure that you are on Lin Van Name's e-mail list to receive notice of meetings and/or notes.
